How much does it cost and when do you get it:

Screenplay, feature $1000.00 2 weeks

  • up to 100 pages

  • $5/extra page

Screenplay, short $ 200.00 1 week

  • up to 25 pages

  • $5/extra page

TV pilot (1-hour) $ 650.00 1 week

  • up to 65 pages

  • $5/extra page

NOTE: I DO NOT CRITIQUE FIRST OR SECOND SCREENPLAYS. THIS SHOULD BE AT LEAST YOUR THIRD COMPLETED SCREENPLAY.

ALSO: Please send your script in commercial (paid or free) screenwriting software.

Do not send a script that you have formatted by hand, using TAB and the SPACE BAR.

The Whole Process

Your first email to me:

  • You email me your screenplay info only, not the screenplay itself.             

  • Screenplay info: title, genre(s), page count, a log line, and a 2-3 paragraph synopsis of your whole story; is this at least your third completed screenplay?

  • Plus a little bit about yourself as a writer and a human being.

Then:

  • I email you my Client Info Form, which includes how to format your screenplay (as a Word doc).

You return said emailwith your screenplay attached (as a Word .doc)

Then:

  • We have a 1-hour Discovery Zoom call, to chat about your screenplay.

  • I email you an invoice, which you pay (100% or 50/50% - see below)

  • I will start your critique, and will let you know when it’s completed.

  • I send you your completed Critique Report and Script notes.

  • You mull it over (1 week)

  • We have a 1-hour Zoom call for questions and discussion about the Report.

Payments

I invoice primarily through Paypal, though I can use Square and Stripe. All you need is a credit card.

On the invoice will be a description of our critique arrangement:

  • Please review the details of our arrangement carefully

  • Do not pay the invoice until you understand and agreed to all details

  • If you have any questions or quibbles, please call or email me, and we will edit the statement of understanding so that it works for both of us.

There are two schedules of payments:

For projects up to $300.00:

  • You pay 100% of the invoice upfront.

  • Then I will start your critique, etc.

OR

For projects over $300.00:

  • You may pay 50% of the invoice upfront (I can set this up on the invoice). This initial payment of 50% is not refundable if I have already started the project.

  • I will start your critique, and let you know when it's done.

  • You will pay the remaining 50% of the invoice (within 14 days of project completion, so plan accordingly.)

  • I will send you your completed Critique Report and Script notes.
